Brian’s Colourful Culture philosophy is based upon the belief that all veterinary practices must proactively pursue 4 outcomes in order to be successful and sustainable and each of the various job roles in veterinary practice must contribute to each of these 4 outcomes

The online Certificate in Veterinary Nurse Consulting is a convenient way to acquire all the skills, knowledge and mindsets that are delivered via the roadshows…as well as being awarded a certificate of completion of the Colourful Veterinary Nurse Consulting programme

The programme takes the form 16 webinars (8 hours of CPD) delivered across 4 modules delivering the skills, knowledge and mindsets required to achieve clinical resolution, clients satisfaction, financial resolution and colleague satisfaction.

The Colourful Consultation can also be incorporated into what I call a Colourful Culture Day which incorporates 4 sessions, each lasting 2 hours.

Options include 2 hour talks which cover each of the following areas:

The Colourful Consultation for veterinary consultations

The Colourful Consultation for veterinary nurse consultations

The Colourful Receptionist

Two hour review with the practice owners and management

Some practices duplicate sessions in order to facilitate all members of staff being able to attend whilst others are ‘covering the shop’

Observing consultations

I have observed over 1,000 veterinary consultations as part of my Colourful Consultation coaching.

Each vet is observed consulting for 2 hours with alternate consultations blocked-out to make time for feedback

It was useful that the webinars were of varying lengths as I could choose to watch a shorter one if I was pushed for time after work

Very interesting and given me good inspiration to set up and do more clinics

Interesting and empowering - it has given me confidence to speak to our vet and demonstrate the value of nurse clinics! Highly recommended!

Great day! Interactive and informative

Fantastic speakers. Engaging, informative and knowledgeable

Very impressed. Very relevant. Good value for money

There are also some useful templates of documents such as admission questionnaires etc, which are convenient for comparing to and improving your own in practice

The content was interesting and relevant to nurse consultations.

It felt as if the presenters understood the nurse's point of view and the challenges we encounter both with the public, but also the reasons for lacking confidence and how to improve the way we communicate to others

The bright, colourful dashboard gives you a sense of achievement when the line turns green after you've viewed it too!

The illustrations and information displayed on the screen were easy to follow and helped greatly when explaining the more in depth areas of the course, such as client psychology

Very informative and relevant to practice today

Gave lots of new ideas and ways to work around issues

Would recommend it to other veterinary nurses
